Update from the Woods at Beaver Lake 04/22/09

I am writing to update you on construction activity on SE 30th street as it relates to our project "The Woods at Beaver Lake"

We have completed replacement of the water main in SE 30th street. Crews are working this week to flush and test the new main, and should complete final hook-up to the existing water connections later this week.

Our next major segment of construction will involve widening the Southern half of SE 30th street to construct road, storm and sidewalk improvements along the entire length of the street. We will also widen and improve the intersection at SE 30th and SE Beaver Lake Drive.

Logging crews will be on site next Tuesday April 28th, to remove trees along the frontage road. This activity will take one day, with additional days to remove stumps and begin grading activities. Logging work is scheduled to commence after 9 am to facilitate school bus pick-up times. Access will be maintained throughout, but there may be periodic delays (flaggers will be on site to control traffic access).

This is the last major work to complete our primary site access. We will also be working simultaneously on SE 28th street to complete that future road improvement. We anticipate the bulk of our grading and utility activities to be complete in approximately 1 month (weather permitting). Driveway access will be maintained throughout the construction period for residents living along SE 30th street.

Update from The Woods at Beaver Lake 03/24/09

Installation of a new water main will begin this Monday, March 30th. The main is located the entire length of SE 30th street, and we will be replacing an old concrete main with new ductile iron pipe. Work will take approximately 2 weeks to complete. There will be periodic lane closures while work is being done, and our contractor will have a flagging crew to direct traffic through. The work is complex, with a lot of buried utilities to work around, but we hope to complete this phase by April 15th. The existing sidewalk along the North side of SE 30th will remain open at all times.

Expansion of SE 30th street is tentatively scheduled to begin May 1st, and will take approximately 1 month to complete. This will primarily effect residents living along the South side of SE 30th.

We have completed primary curb and paving within the project site, and are currently installing power and gas. We hope to begin construction on a model home in the next 2 to 3 weeks, and complete the majority of infrastructure improvements by early June.

If any resident has any specific concerns feel free to contact Leo Suver at 425-454-1900 or email him directly at leo@burnstead.com
