Playground/ Stormwater Retention Ponds/ Rock Wall Areas:

There has been some minor damage to the rock wall bordering the water retention pond.  In a community effort to protect our children and the property from damage and erosion; please remind your children that this area can be dangerous and is NOT to be climbed on, played on or walked along.

Please remember that no one is allowed to be inside the fenced-in area around the retention ponds at the front of our neighborhood.

Residents are encouraged to call the Sammamish Police Department  at 425-295-0770 (non-emergent) to report anyone who is trespassing in the retention pond area/ playground area/ or the rock wall area to ensure the safety of all those involved.

Exterior Paint - Approval Required

This is a reminder that if you wish to change the paint color of the exterior of your house, you must first obtain the approval of the HOA Architectural Control Committee in accordance with Section 11.1 of the Association's CC&Rs.  editor_upload/File/ccrs.2.pdf  This is intended to insure the consistency and beauty of our community, which is especially important with all of the new nearby devlopments being planned.  Please contact the Board for more information (button at left) or to request approval.

Yard Maintenance Reminder:
It is important for our community that all residents properly maintain their landscaping, which includes keeping lawns and shrubs properly trimmed, removing dead or diseased plants, and watering lawns when needed. These actions will help maintain the beauty of our neighborhood and the value of our homes, and are required by the Association's Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions. See Article XIII of the CC&Rs on the Documents page at the left for more information. editor_upload/File/ccrs.2.pdf

Garbage Bins:
Please remember to bring your garbage, recycling and yard waste bins to your backyards by the end of each pick-up day.  Also, remember that the bins are not supposed to be stored  in the front or side of your house in an area that is visible to your neighbors.

~ Burnstead Updates ~
Update from the Woods at Beaver Lake 01/19/10

Anyone who has walked through the Woods at Beaver Lake has seen the progress of the development, and knows that the two parks are finished. So far they have already sold a few homes, and are only planning to build 7 homes until someone buys a lot and has a home built.
The road updates are completed for both 28th and 30th St. There has been an ongoing concern with 28th St. now that the road has been expanded. Cars are traveling along 28th St. at excessive speeds. Until the city makes a decision about putting opticon gates for emergency access only to 257th and the new development, use caution when using 28th St. The speed limit is 20mph, and should be observed. This is a concern for all of us and our neighbors especially when walking with families along that road.

If any resident has any specific concerns feel free to contact Leo Suver at 425-454-1900 or email him directly at leo@burnstead.com
